As usual, you can watch the Legend of Zelda Nintendo Direct on YouTube and Twitch. Once the livestream wraps up, Nintendo typically uploads individual versions of the trailers and footage shown off, all available to watch on its official YouTube page.

Kicking off early on September 8 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET, this Legend of Zelda Direct will run for around 30 minutes.

What to expect from the Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct
Nintendo says the presentation will deliver "a variety of information" related to The Legend of Zelda. Beyond that, your guess is as good as ours, but we expect to see a new look at the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, with a closer look at its gameplay, how it differs from the classic Nintendo 64 game, and its release date. A teaser for the upcoming live-action movie ahead of its 2027 release would also be welcome, and if we had to take an educated guess, we'd expect 40th-anniversary limited-edition hardware for the Switch 2, more merchandise drops, and maybe even concert tour celebrations.
And if we're really lucky, maybe we'll finally get an update on two outstanding Legend of Zelda ports: Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD. Considering how Nintendo has brought other Legend of Zelda adventures into the modern era, it's high time that these classics made their way to Switch consoles.
